VALENTINE'S
ADVICE!!
So it's February 1 2015. I am sure there are a ton of people trying to get ready for Valentines Day...I don't know why we have to only have ONE designated day to show the people we love how much we love them. Don't get me wrong....it can be a very nice day for people, and it can be a really romantic day.. So here's some ideas I have drawn up for everyone...
If your alone: There is NOTHING wrong with being alone on Valentines, because your not chances are you have family and friends, and even if their busy doing stuff they will always be a part of you, and always be love in your hearts for each other everyday...
anyhoo....
If you are alone on Valentines:
1. Why not see if there is a movie(s) on Tv that night, if not watch one on Netflix...or dust off that DVD/or Blu Ray player and pop a movie(s) in. Pick your favourite movie-no it does not have to be a romance movie...(I personally love watching a good horror movie). It can be anything you want.
2.Make yourself a nice meal. Take the time to treat yourself to your favourite foods. Even if its a frozen dinner...heat it up then scoop it out and put it on a plate (makes it look fancy and it can also make you feel comforted). Or if you are out treat yourself and pick up a pizza or meal from somewhere and again put it on a plate...sit down and eat while watching your movie(s).
3. Don't sit around feeling sad or lonely because you are not alone. theres millions of people on this Earth doing the same thing you are. If you begin to feel sorry for yourself...it'll make for one sad night.. when you can be thankful for the people you love/care about...and the people that love and care for you.
If You Have Someone to Share Valentines With:
1. If you are getting each other a gift....DO NOT get something big...unless you've been together for years and its something that will not get in between if anything goes sour in the relationship later...
2. Guys out there: stick to some flowers--get their favourite kind or get a really beautiful bouquet of different flowers, bright and colourful, but not too expensive.
3. Chocolates.....We all know that there are a lot of people out there that LOVE chocolate...so go with chocolate...find out each others favourite kind and get a lot of them.
4. You can add a card for finishing touches....Now these can be tricky people...if you are buying for someone who loves to laugh.. get them a funny one...if they are a hopeless romantic.. go for a REALLY romantic card...their heart will melt....
Make sure the card fits the persons personality correctly and what point your relationship is in....if your really not sure then opt out of getting a card...and just say to them how you feel, it will mean more hearing something from the heart then reading something on paper.
I hope that this might help people...if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask me I might be able to help you through it.
See for me, I'm not really into the whole Valentines Day thing I am not against it or anything....I feel its a mass produced holiday that can make people feel like they are not okay if their alone.. and that they can ONLY be happy if they are with someone.... NOT TRUE!!! You can be perfectly happy celebrating it on your own!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day.
~M~
